Do you have a 3 oz section?

Memorial Day weekend is right around the bend and that means travel plans. An estimated 2.15 million holiday flyers are headed out of town. For those flying, you may want to consider adding a 3 oz size section in your pharmacy.

With rising costs of checking luggage, many folks are traveling with a carry on. And TSA guidelines require that liquids be 3 oz or less. Consider carrying the following:

Shampoo
Conditioner
Facial Soap
Moisturizer
Sun Screen

An alternative is to carry empty 3 oz bottles that customers can fill with the favorite items they currently purchase at your store.

And finally, be sure and keep some lip balms by your travel section. Air travel can also dry out your lips. The humidity on a plane hovers around 10%. That leaves lips feeling dry and tight.

  1. Excellent suggestions! The pharmacy might be one of the last stops when getting ready for a trip, so this makes sense for sure. Maybe place the travel section next to the magazines, cross-word puzzle books, etc.
